(1) When the scraper conveyor is put into operation, the tightness of the scraper chain should be checked, because the connection between the chutes will reduce the spacing due to operation. If the chain is too loose, accidents such as chain jamming, chain jumping, chain breaking and chain falling may occur. The inspection method is to reverse the conveyor and count the number of loose chain links. If there are more than two completely loose chain links, the chain needs to be re-tightened.
(2) The working surface should be kept straight. If the working surface is not straight, the tension of the two chains will be unequal, which will cause uneven wear of the chains or cause the bottom chain to fall, get stuck or break.
(3) The bend of the conveyor should be appropriate, and there should be no “sharp bend”. The bend should be no less than eight sections of the chute. When pushing, pay attention to the cooperation of the front and rear hydraulic jacks to avoid sharp bends. Otherwise, it will cause the chute to misalign and cause chain breaking and falling accidents. Pay special attention to not pushing when the conveyor is stopped.
(4) The conveyor should be laid flat. Due to the limitation of the chute structure, it can only adapt to the change of 3′-5′ in the vertical direction. Therefore, if there are local bumps on the bottom plate of the working surface, it should be leveled. And the flat laying of the conveyor is conducive to the operation of the scraper chain, which can reduce the wear of the chute and reduce power consumption.
(5) During blasting, the transmission parts and pipelines, unit cables, switches, etc. of the conveyor must be protected. When the conveyor transports iron materials and long materials, safety measures should be formulated to avoid personal accidents.
(6) The overlap between the tail of the transition chute and the middle chute is not allowed to have too much bending. If there is bending, it should be padded with wooden boards.
(7) Pay special attention to the vibration of the coupling. Check the vibration of the hydraulic coupling when the conveyor is started. In order to maintain good heat dissipation conditions, the protective cover and hydraulic coupling should be cleaned frequently.
