The single machine length of belt conveyors is nearly 15 kilometers, and a “belt conveyor” consisting of several units connecting places A and B has appeared. Many countries are exploring more perfect conveyor structures for long-distance, large-volume continuous material transportation.
②Expand the scope of use of conveyors. Develop conveyors that can work under high and low temperature conditions, in environments with corrosive, radioactive, and flammable substances, and can transport hot, explosive, easy to agglomerate, and sticky materials.
③Make the structure of the conveyor meet the requirements of the automatic control of the material handling system for single machines. For example, the trolley conveyor used by the post office to automatically sort parcels should be able to meet the requirements of sorting actions, etc.
④Reducing energy consumption to save energy has become an important aspect of scientific research in the field of conveying technology. The energy consumed by transporting 1 ton of material for 1 kilometer has been used as one of the important indicators for conveyor selection.
⑤Reduce the dust, noise and exhaust gas generated by various conveyors during operation.
