Position:

Scraper Conveyor Safety Technology

1. All personnel participating in the disassembly must be familiar with the equipment structure, performance and working principle. The disassembly work must be carried out reasonably and no hard knocking or prying is allowed. After the equipment is disassembled, the exposed shaft head and other parts must be wrapped with tape to prevent damage.
2. During the entire construction process, there must be a construction manager to command the action in a unified manner, and the construction personnel must concentrate, otherwise they are not allowed to participate in the construction.
3. During the construction period, tools and spare parts must be managed by a dedicated person to avoid loss.
4. The main and auxiliary winches and other winches must be checked by a dedicated person for their integrity. They must be checked once each time they are lifted, and records must be made. The quality of the lifting wire rope must comply with the relevant provisions of Chapter 8 of the “Coal Mine Safety Regulations”.
5. The main winch hook head must be connected to the flatbed car with a special connector to ensure reliable connection.
6. When the auxiliary winch is lifted and loaded, the hook head and the equipment are connected with a wire rope or a horseshoe ring. The connection must be reliable, otherwise it cannot be lifted.
7. The winch driver must be certified and drive strictly according to the signal: the main winch is “one stop, two lifts, three releases”, and the auxiliary winch is “one stop, four lifts, five releases”. It is strictly forbidden to use shouting or flashing lights to replace signals. If the signal is unclear, it is strictly forbidden to drive.
8. After taking over, the winch driver must carefully check the integrity of the winch and the integrity of the fixed hook head. The winch must be firmly and reliably fixed.
9. When lifting equipment or loading, it is strictly forbidden for anyone to work, walk or stay within the operating range of the wire rope ropeway to prevent rope breakage and injury.
10. Objects weighing more than 100Kg are strictly prohibited from being carried by manpower. If they need to be adjusted or carried, they must be carried out with the help of lifting tools.
11. During the construction process, no one is allowed to put tools or other things on the scraper rack or cable trough to prevent slipping and injury.
12. Before lifting and loading, the construction personnel shall stand in a safe and reliable place 5 meters behind the lifting location. The signalman shall send a preparatory signal. The lifting signal shall be sent only after the winch driver sends the same signal. Other personnel shall not send signals at will.
13. When lifting equipment, the relevant provisions in the “Safety Technical Measures for Equipment Lifting” must be strictly observed.
14. All construction personnel must study these safety technical measures carefully, otherwise they shall not participate in the construction.
15. During construction, a special person must check the safety of the coal wall and roof. If any abnormality is found, measures shall be taken immediately to deal with it. Operations can only be continued after it is handled safely.
16. Before using the main and auxiliary winches, a solid and reliable full-section isolation guardrail must be supported in the winch chamber with single pillars and steel mesh to prevent injuries after the broken rope rebounds. Raw material defects that cause chain breakage in scraper conveyors: component segregation, steel grade defects, whether the appropriate steel grade 40Cr, 35CrMo, 42CrMo, 35CrNi3, etc. is used; Heat treatment defects: The heat treatment structure is tempered buckling body, and whether the chain is shot peened according to the manufacturer’s parts. Also, whether stress cracks are generated during heat treatment, which leads to chain defects.
